Autumn in New England

There is nothing like the cool temperatures, colorful leaves against the clear, blue sky and enjoying autumn in New England. Yes, I'm a New England girl. I love the seasons--each has something special to enjoy. So I'd like to share a few images with you as we transition into autumn.

Every season and life-season brings elements of change and beauty. I want to embrace whatever is ahead and take time to enjoy its fruit.

What's your favorite aspect of Autumn? What season of life are you facing? How can you capture its beauty and share it with someone?

Hard to believe November is knocking on the door,

  4. Lovely pictures, Jeanne. I am enjoying my first autumn in northern Wisconsin since 1979. That's a long time away from the unique beauty of living in the north woods. Not that much different from New England.

  5. I've never been to Wisconsin, Peg. I bet it's beautiful! This has been a year of transition for you--a new season for sure. Praying you see its beauty in and around you.

  7. Thanks for stopping by, Barbara. I love autumn weather. It makes me feel like apple pie, cider and stew simmering on the stove :)

  8. Thank you for stopping in, Vonda. I know you were in CT a few years ago--was that during Autumn?

  9. I agree with the comments about the pictures, but would like to share my love of the crisp breezes of Autumn accompanied by the warmth of the sunshine such as we had today. Thanks for your post. Blessings, Cass Wessel

  10. I agree, Cass. Autumn days are so picturesque, though often we start out wearing a winter jacket and transition to a sweater by afternoon. Clear, dry, sunny, crisp, colorful--just awesome!

  11. We were in New York and Boston in June one year and it was beautiful. What do I miss most in autumn? The changng of the leaves in Michigan. The only way we can see that in Arizona is to go up to Sedona or Flagstaff, and people do go up there just for that.

  12. Donna,

I've only been to Michigan for a conference so I don't know what their fall weather is like. Is it similar to New England?

  13. Such beautiful photos. I have always wanted to visit New England in autumn. In England we haven't seen as much colour as we did last year. I'm hoping to see some before the trees lose their leaves. :)

  14. Where in England are you, Anita? I have visited there in the spring (march-April) and in September but haven't really experienced Autumn there.

Thanks for stopping in and leaving a comment.
