What battles are you facing today? Click to Tweet
You must know by now that I can get jazzed about:
God’s ability to do ANYTHING
God is able!
God is willing.
One of my favorite scriptures when I teach on this is
found in 2 Chronicles 20 and includes Jehoshaphat’s prayer. We face enemies
every day and his example is perfect for how to handle them. We usually feel we
need to figure out a plan and DO something. But, time and time again, the
message of scripture is:
God will fight for you! Click to Tweet
So, when I found Joyce Meyer’s new book called, Let
God Fight Your Battles: Being Peaceful in the Storm….and, it camps on the 2 Chronicles passage and
our friend, Jehoshaphat, I need to pass along my thoughts.
We need to know that God is powerful enough to fight
for us. And, we need to hear what Jehoshaphat gives us for a battle plan
because we fight battles, both internal and external every day.
2 Chronicles 2:17 says:
“You shall not need to fight this battle; take your
positions, stand still and see the deliverance of the Lord…” Amplified
“What is our position? I believe it is worshipping God.”
(Joyce Meyer; Let God Fight Your Battles, page vii of the introduction)
This book outlines God’s battle plan and transformation
through worship with Joyce Meyer’s no nonsense style and it’s anchored in
scripture. It is a small (6 ½ x 4 ¾) hardcover book perfect to put in your
purse, briefcase or beach bag.
If you are facing a battle today or know someone who
is, this book will help you to dig into scripture and find God able and
faithful to deliver you.

Awesome Jeanne! I love Joyce Meyers. I haven't connected with her on TV or in writing lately, but this book sounds great. My current battle is my 16 year old son. He's being a stubborn, rebellious 16 year old and completely ignoring anything we, as parents, suggest. Grades are down. I'm trying to let God fight the battle, but I also have to be a parent. Tricky balance. Please pray! I'm glad you're back to the blog! All done with shingles?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your battle, Cathy. Praying for you and for your son. Praying for wisdom and discernment
ReplyDeleteCathy, congratulations! You've won a copy of Joyce Meyer's book.
ReplyDeleteI am also at odds with my 17 yr old daughter.
ReplyDeleteShe has been raised in church since she was about 4-5 yrs old.
(When I got saved, she was that age).
She is being rebellious, hanging out with the 'partying' croud, etc.
please pray for her, and for me to have wisdom!
